Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition: One of the myths floating around is that installing Linux is difficult. Of course this is not the case. For those of you who keep not using Linux because you are afraid to take risks, with Dell you have no more excuses.
Dell has released its latest laptop (Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition 9370), with the latest version of Ubuntu Linux 18.04 Long-Term Support (LTS) by Canonical. The computer is not the first from the company to come with a pre-installed Linux operating system, as it also has the Precision series of laptops and desktops running Ubuntu or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.3.
The latest XPS 13 series, however, is a high-tech line.
All Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition models include dual Thunderbolt ports, a USB 3.1 port, an SD card reader, a headphone jack and a 52 watt battery. The most expensive version of the Developer Edition has 16GB of RAM, 1TB SSD and 3.840-inch UHD (2.160 × 13.1) screen.
It uses an Intel Core i7-8550U 8 processor. This model has not been released yet, but it will probably cost about 2.000 dollars.
If the computer is too expensive for you, the Low-end Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition model, costs $1.050. The model has an Intel Core i5-8250U processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD and a Full HD screen.
The new Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition 9370 is available from today only in the United States. These laptops will be available in Canada and Europe as of September.
