This will allow files stored in Personal Vault to be more secure if someone accesses your computer, mobile device, OneDrive account, or breach.
"Personal Vault adds extra security to strict privacy protection and security features offered by OneDrive, including file encryption, suspicious activity monitoring, ransomware detection and recovery, bulk file deletion notification and recovery, virus scanning to protect against known threats, and history publishing for all file types " he says the Microsoft announcement.
Microsoft will make the new feature available in both versions of OneDrive for desktop and cell phones As an added security measure, Microsoft offers the ability to scan documents, take photos, or capture videos directly from within Personal Vault.
Finally, Personal Vault will include automatic locking of your files after a period of inactivity. This will prevent any unauthorized access if your phone or computer is unlocked and unattended.
