A year and a half ago, Malwarebytes κυκλοφόρησε μια beta έκδοση της επέκτασης για τα προγράμματα περιήγησης Firefox and Google Chrome.
After the necessary tests, the company recently released the stable extension version with a new name "Malwarebytes Browser Guard".
The extension as mentioned above is available for browsers We chrome and Firefox in the respective add-on stores.
Malwarebytes initially claimed that the extension was the first of its kind, and is available worldwide to prevent fraudulent technical support scams.
The new Browser Guard extension speeds up browsing up to 4 times faster, eliminating ads and any unwanted content.
After Malwarebytes 4, which is currently in beta, Malwarebytes Browser Guard seems to be gaining a new user interface. So you may be prompted to enter your email to enable the extension after installation.
The company confirms that this is needed to improve its communication with customers (okay?).
Malwarebytes Browser Guard is currently available for Chrome (link above). The company appears to have pulled the Firefox extension, but after patching it it will be listed again on Mozilla's website add-ons.
It should be noted that the company updates the installed Malwarebytes Browser Extension beta (former name) to the Malwarebytes Browser Guard fixed extension. So if you have already installed the beta version of the extension, your extension will be updated to the latest fixed version 2.0.1.
We're also looking forward to the Firefox expansion, of course.
