Immutouch is a wristband that vibrates when your hand approaches your face. Its makers redesigned it to force you to stop touching your face and v extension protect yourself from the coronavirus.
The coronavirus could not escape either technology. So in an effort to help (or win) the makers of Immutouch, a wristband-shaped device, redesigned their invention to vibrate when you touch your face.
Touching your face is a common way in which the virus can travel from knobs or other objects to the mucous membranes of the eyes, nose, etc. and make you sick. The Immutouch bracelet has an accelerometer that "feels" the movement of your hands 10 times per second. Based on the initial calibrations you do, Immutouch understands when you go to touch your eyes, nose or mouth and vibrate with buzzer sound.
The goal is to subconsciously train your brain to break the habit of leaning on your face. The package comes with a smartphone app that helps you track your progress as you try to keep your dirty hands away from your face.
And of course it is not free. Sold for $ 50 and ready for immediate shipping. You can wear it on your "good" hand, which is most likely to touch your face or get one for each hand to maximize results (!!).
The original idea constructionImmutouch's goal was to help people who suffer from trichlothilomania, a compulsive disorder in which the person suffering from it tends to pull out their hair because they have no control over their impulses. As a technique it is very good to help people suffering from this rarity disease stress but apparently because the clientele is few and the profits small, its makers turned to (almost) coronavirus pandemic, of which more than 114.000 people worldwide are ill so far.
