ESET, the world leader in cyber security, has taken steps to help Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CERTs) in the European Union deal with threats during the Covid-19 pandemic. As a company based in the European Union, ESET works with EU agencies to ensure that European citizens are safe and at risk online.
To protect the general public and infrastructure in each country, ESET offers Public Sector CERT Teams free access to the ESET Threat Intelligence data feed. The offer includes access to ESET Domain services, URLs, malicious file flow and Botnet feed.
The number of digital threats has increased during the COVID-19 crisis, and it is vital that EU countries are equipped with the tools and resources needed to protect citizens and systems from all possible threats. ESET Threat Intelligence provides timely and up-to-date information on specific threats and sources of attack, which brings together 110 million users worldwide to provide threat landscape information.
Access to ESET Threat Intelligence will allow CERT teams to monitor potential threats to reduce the risk of an attack and strengthen their defenses. Collective effort is an essential part of threat analysis and response, and in this context ESET has contacted 46 CERT teams across the EU for cooperation. The initial response is positive and several initiatives are already being implemented.
