How to enable and disable window naming in the program browsing Google Chrome and Edge.
Google Chrome and Chromium-based Edge let you rename their open windows. Especially for Microsoft Edge the feature is so far in Insider builds, but in Chrome it's already in the version you're running (if you're running the latest).
This feature allows you to rename open browser windows to a name of your choice. This is useful if you like having multiple windows open at the same time and sorted by task. Renaming them helps you to easily find the window you are interested in (eg news, forums, work, etc.).
Let's see how you activate it.
Step 1: Open Google Chrome flags. For this step, open a new tab and type chrome: // flags / # window-naming . If you are with Edge, put the word Chrome where the word Edge is. Then press the Enter key.
Step 2: In this tab you should see the "Window Naming" flag. To the right of it, click the drop-down menu, then select Enabled to enable or disable the service.
Step 3: Restart your browser.
