An important case of child pornography was sparked off by the Electronic Crime Prosecution Division, within the framework of the global online police operation under the code name "HYDRA" (relative by 15-05-2014 Presentation of the Press Representative of EL.AS. and the Head of the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office).
It is recalled that during the many-month internet police operation "HYDRA", a total of seventy-eight (78) users - perpetrators were traced, the electronic traces of which occurred in thirty-two (32) countries in the world, while in our country three (3) and three (3) people were arrested, who were prosecuted for pornography by Internet.
More specifically, 28-11-2013 detected an unknown person's profile through which hard child pornography material was handled, using a special file sharing program (P 2 P). To avoid detection, the manager of the profile at issue received increased online protection measures to make it more difficult to investigate prosecuting authorities.
From the evolution of the many-month digital surveys, the electronic traces of the above person were identified and its data was identified, as it became apparent that 24 is a resident of Thessaloniki.
Specifically, it was verified that 24 was an administrator of a peer to peer account on the Internet and had a password-protected folder that was convenient to share. This file included other (11) subfolders with thousands of files (photos and videos) whose names were referenced in very hard pornography material for minors.
24 was captured by 02-02-2015 in Thessaloniki and at the expense of which a suitcase for child pornography was created, internet and child seduction.

In fact, another case of insulting the offender in a four-year-old minor is investigated, while all seized files will be checked for any other relevant cases.
The arrested, with the case file that was filed against him, led 03-02-2015 to the Prosecutor of the First Instance of Thessaloniki.
