Histropedia a tool for imaging the story

H Histropedia, a new interactive tool that displays historical events, describing them with a combination of maps, timelines, and trends. It was first presented in Wikimania this weekend at Barbican, London.

The site, which is currently in beta, is the brainchild of Navino Evans and Sean McBirnie, who in a packed room presented Histropedia as "a completely free service for the whole world."

The interactive website, which has been developed in but Geeks ltd, works with data from Wikidata and Wikipedia displaying the events in a timeline.

When an event appears in the timeline, related events are also displayed , such as videos from , reports from Twitter, or books from Amazon that contain related topics.
