The robot which has been manufactured by NASA has height 1.88 cm and weight 125 pounds. It's pretty big-name is called Valkyrie and is destined for an astronaut.
It was originally built to be a search and rescue bot. It has cameras embedded from head to toe and a giant battery in the back. It is not as flexible as a human, but it moves in a similar way, which could be important for studying the limits of human movements on Mars.
"NASA will probably send a robot before sending astronauts to the red planet," he said. Nicolaus Radford, his head dexterous Robotics Lab of NASA. “These robots will begin to prepare the ground for them people explorers. And when humans arrive, robots and humans will work together.”
