The United States has sent the new spacecraft to the International Space Station Sygnus, which was launched on Thursday with the help of the carrier rocket Antares, from the NASA spaceport on Wallops Island, Virginia, located off the Atlantic coast of USA.
The successful positioning of the spacecraft in orbit was ensured by the Russians constructions NK-33/AJ-26 engines, which were installed in the first section of the missile.
Sygnus transfers to the crew of the ISS (IIS) more than 1,3 tons of various cargo, including food, water, spare parts, as well as equipment and materials for scientific experiments.
