The National Museum of Contemporary Art presents the large group exhibition entitled "Again, A new generation of Greek artistsWhich will be inaugurated on October 24 2013 on 20.00, and will last until the end of the year.
Shortly before completing his permanent home, the EMST is consciously turning the eyes on young people to "close" with them the first phase of a creative journey that has already been taking 13 years. Their own artistic presence embodies the promise of a future, best signaling the start of the new EMST chapter.
The conception and organization of the exhibition Again is part of the museum's exhibition policy, aiming at highlighting the liveliest and advanced artistic forces and pursuits of the site, while at the same time giving the opportunity to create new works. This report explores our future on the horizon of an international artistic environment, introduces new questions, highlights the artistic dynamics that is now being shaped.
It was preceded by systematic and thorough research that lasted about two years. The starting point was the Open Invitation addressed by the EMST to the visual community in an attempt to map the new generation. A rich material from about 1000 bibliography of Greek artists was gathered.
Born 80 (from 1979 to 1990), 34's first-time artists and 3 artistic members selected have just completed their studies and are now starting their activity in Greece and international arts centers such as London, Berlin, Vienna, Cologne, Amsterdam, Manchester.

60 projects (installations, drawings, videos, performances, sounds, paintings) will be presented, of which 27 are new artistic proposals specifically for this exhibition.
Participating artists open up to new interdisciplinary and inter-artistic fields in order to re-approach materials, concepts and artistic practices in times of crisis and economic recession. They critically comment on the contemporary political-economic reality, confront recent history, bring back issues of depicting symbols and monuments of our cultural heritage. They construct open and ambiguous narratives that often start from personal ones και βιώματα. Αξιοποιούν ως πρώτη ύλη την ψηφιακή τεχνολογία και διερευνούν την κουλτούρα του Διαδικτύου εξετάζοντας με κριτική ματιά το ρόλο τους.
Representatives of a generation shaped by (and by) intangible digital technology, nurtured with the new consciousness of co-creation, collaboration, diffusion of and knowledge. They create participatory communities, explore contemporary issues related to the new conditions of economy and production, work, sustainability, autonomy and alternative ways of living.
The Re-exhibition brings us in touch with the most charming and lively side of artistic creation, the moment that language is built, degraded and re-tested, where experiments and doubts are placed at the center of search for an artistic identity.

Six of the projects in the exhibition are implemented with the support of the National Documentation Center (EKT), within the framework of the "Creativity: Innovative Models of Production and Access (CIMPA)" program. One of them, the AKTINA* installation of the City Index Lab & Energize teams is presented from September 30 and throughout the duration of the EMST exhibition in the forecourt of the National Research Foundation (Vassileos Konstantinou 48 Athens).

The exhibition includes the artists: Christos Vagiatas, Chryssa Valsamaki, Ioannis Varvaritis, Maria Varela, Aphrodite Psarra, Marinos Koutsomichalis, Pachy Vlassopoulou, Panagiotis Vorrias, Theodoros Giannakis, Natali Yakis, Manolis Daskalakis-Lemos, Athanasios Zagorissios, Efthimis Theou, Thanassis Deligiannis, Valentina Karga, Chrysanthi Koumianakis, Marinos Koutsomichalis, Kernel (Petros Moris, Peggy Zali, Theodoros Giannakis), Alexandros Leios, Vasilis Balaskas, Rania Bellou, Petros Moris, Kosmas Nikolaou, Sofia Dona, Myrto Xanthopoulou, Ioanna Ximeri, Maria Papaikaloulou, Toula Ploumi, Erika Skourti, Evangelia Spiliopoulou, Anastasis Stratakis, Stephania Strousa, Maria Tsagari, Maro Fasouli, Myrto Ferenidou, Marianna Christofidou, City Index Lab + Energize.
