Airbus has acquired a patent that would be the envy of the F4. If there is one area in the 21st century that is considered technologically backward, it is supersonic passenger flights. After the retirement of Concorde in 2003, the speed of sound essentially returned to military monopoly. 
But technicians Marco Prampolini and Yohann Coraboeuf of Airbus managed to obtain a patent for a "very fast air vehicle" designed to fly 20 kilometers above any conventional aircraft and at speeds over four times its speed. that is, twice the speed of the Concorde.
The Concorde could cross the Atlantic in less than three hours, but only 20 was built from an Anglo-French development program in the 1960 decade according to Business Insider.
But the combination of the incredible noise pollution, the restrictive FAA regulations of USA, and the Arab oil embargo in the 1970s made Concorde uneconomic.
Airbus' patent takes the idea of Concorde, increases efficiency and reduces noise pollution. According to the Airbus, the vessel will be essentially a flying tanker with most of the shaft consisting of liquid oxygen and environmentally friendly liquid hydrogen. The cabin will be for 24 passengers, and the cockpit will be on the bow.
But what really determines Airbus's design and makes it stand out is the propulsion systems used to keep up.
On a typical flight, it can take off as a conventional plane using standard turbines, but once it is in the air, opening a rear door will reveal a missile engine that will send the aircraft to an almost vertical track, accelerating at ultrasonic speeds.
As the airplane approaches one Mach, the turbines will close and retract within the spindle. Upon completion of the acceleration phase the airplane will fly at speeds ranging from 4 to 4,5 Mach at 30.000 to 35.000 m.
According to his specifications, he could carry two or three tons of cargo, which is equivalent to 24 passengers and their luggage.
It is extremely unlikely to see supersonic airbus flights with cheap tickets, if ever built. Perhaps if the company decides to build it to use it only for VIP passengers. Alternatively, the vessel could also have military application, since its speeds and technology would be envied even by warships.
