Η Google officially launched Android Nougat yesterday, first on some Nexus devices. In a post on the Android Developer Blog, Google also announced that its new functional for mobile devices will receive quarterly maintenance updates and that developer versions will continue to be released.
The publication became Dave Burke, VP of Engineering and shows that Android Nougat comes with a regular update program for the coming quarters.
The devices will receive updates as a preview of the project, and the first will be released this autumn, although no specific date was reported.
Mr Burke also gave details of the project's upcoming preview, saying Google had already begun developing it and would bring "improvements and finishes".
Android 7.0 Nougat as we said yesterday is already available for devices such as Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Pixel C, and General Mobile 4G (Android One) as well as devices listed in Android Beta .
It remains to be seen whether the next preview will be available as a flashable image or whether Google will make it available through OTA, as it did with Android N Beta.
The final version of Android OS comes with the support multi-window for users which allows them to run applications side-by-side or on top of each other in splitscreen mode.
