The General Director of EKEFE met with the President of EKEFE Dimokritos, Giorgos Nunesi companyof Ansys in Greece, Babis Bakolias, in order to complete the process of donating a laboratory of measuring instruments for microelectronic integrated circuit devices (microchips). The instrument, which is an integrated high-precision measurement station, can be used for performance characterization measurements of microchip prototypes at laboratory level. 
Ένα από τα σημαντικά πλεονεκτήματά του, είναι πως παρέχει και τη δυνατότητα παράλληλων μετρήσεων για μαζικό χαρακτηρισμό κυκλωμάτων, κάτι που το καθιστά χρήσιμο και σε επίπεδο βιομηχανικής παραγωγής. Ο εξοπλισμός θα διευρύνει σημαντικά τα όρια των πειραμάτων που μπορούν να πραγματοποιηθούν από το ΕΚΕΦΕ Δημόκριτος και τη συνεργαζόμενη πανεπιστημιακή κοινότητα. Παράλληλα, δίνει για πρώτη φορά τη δυνατότητα στις ελληνικές εταιρείες σχεδίασης τσιπ να ελέγχουν τη mode of productof them in Greece, with high-spec equipment, which until now was available exclusively from laboratories abroad.
In the context of the meeting, Mr. Nunesis: "A big thank you to Ansys for its donation to Democritus. In the immediate future we look forward to systematic, productive collaborations in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous Science and Quantum Computing".
Then Mr. Bakolias said: "Ansys, as a world leader in technology, with a growing presence in Greece, is next to every pocket of development and innovation. With this donation to Dimokritos, it comes to fill an important gap by serving the needs of the Greek microchip ecosystem and the companies that are members of the HETIA (Hellenic Emerging Technologies Industry Association)” industry association and bringing these companies closer to the Greek academic research community, providing opportunities for meaningful collaboration.
