Με τον Πρόεδρο του ΕΚΕΦΕ Δημόκριτος, Γιώργο Νούνεση, συναντήθηκε ο Γενικός Διευθυντής της εταιρείας Ansys στην Ελλάδα, Μπάμπης Μπακολιάς, προκειμένου να ολοκληρώσουν τη διαδικασία της δωρεάς εργαστηρίου μετρητικών οργάνων μικροηλεκτρονικών διατάξεων ολοκληρωμένων κυκλωμάτων (μικροτσίπ). Το όργανο, που αφορά έναν ολοκληρωμένο σταθμό υψηλής ακρίβειας μετρήσεων, μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί για μετρήσεις χαρακτηρισμού των επιδόσεων πρωτότυπων μικροτσίπ σε εργαστηριακό επίπεδο. 
One of its important advantages is that it also provides the possibility of parallel measurements for mass characterization of circuits, which makes it useful also at the level of industrial production. The equipment will significantly expand the limits of the experiments that can be carried out by EKEFE Demokritos and the collaborating university community. At the same time, it gives for the first time the possibility to Greek chip design companies to control the operation of their product in Greece, with high-standard equipment, which until now was available exclusively from laboratories abroad.
In the context of the meeting, Mr. Nunesis: "A big thank you to Ansys for its donation to Democritus. In our quest to grow towards emerging cutting edge technologies, it is very important to have allies and supporters with the prestige and unique technology of Ansys. In the immediate future we look forward to systematic, productive collaborations in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous Science and Quantum Computing".
Then Mr. Bakolias said: "Ansys, as a world leader in technology, with a growing presence in Greece, is next to every pocket of development and innovation. With this donation to Dimokritos, it comes to fill an important gap by serving the needs of the Greek microchip ecosystem and the companies that are members of the HETIA (Hellenic Emerging Technologies Industry Association)” industry association and bringing these companies closer to the Greek academic research community, providing opportunities for meaningful collaboration.
