Antergos is a modern, elegant and powerful operating system system based on Arch Linux. It was launched under the name Cinnarch, combining the Cinnamon desktop with the Arch Linux distribution.
Since then, the project has moved beyond its original goals and offers many different desktop options, such as: GNOME 3 (default), Cinnamon, Razor-qt and Xfce. Antergos has its own graphical installation program.
The operating system, like all Arch Linux forks, is not suitable for beginners users on Linux.
As mentioned above Antergos has its own Cnchi graphical installer. The boot of the installer is done in one desktop GNOME, but during installation it gives the options to choose between GNOME 3, Cinnamon, Mate, KDE, Xfce and Openbox desktops.
The network connection is required to start the installation as before it is automatically updated the Cnchi installation program.
