Η AOC presented its first virtual reality display screen (HMD) in the report gamescom held in Cologne on 18-21 August 2016.
Virtual reality had long been hailed as "the next marvel of technology," but it soon proved incapable of meeting public expectations. However, in 2016, all the signs show that its development and the technology on which it is based are strong enough for the dream to come true. 
In fact, Goldman Sachs said in a report published in January 2016 that virtual reality "has the potential to create a multimillion-dollar industry, and possibly change the world just as computers did in the past."1.
The possibilities of using this technology are as many as those of computers and smartphoness. In addition to its obvious use, ie in the computer game industry (and the military), this technology finds application in the fields of entertainment, live events, education, health, engineering and even retail or real estate.
