The company Emsisoft released another one ransomware Decrypter. Emsisoft's tool is a Decrypter for the ApocalypseVM and it works with the latest versions of said ransomware.
"Using Decrypter requires an encrypted file at least 4096 bytes in size, as well as an unencrypted version. In order for the decryption to start, you must give the Decrypter both an encrypted file and its non-encrypted version, with a simple drag and drop on the executable of the Decrypter, ”the company states.
The tool compares the two files and if possible, "reads" the key needed to decrypt them files.
The victim may then decide whether to use it in one, some, or all encrypted files.
The tool allows you to select C: by default, but you can also select other partitions or files to decrypt.
Emsisoft recommends that you check the key first on a few files, then proceed with decrypting the rest if everything goes well with essay.
How Do You Know That You Have Hit ApocalypseVM ransomware?
"Use this Decrypter if your files have been encrypted and renamed with * .encrypted or * .locked and the ransom note is called * .How_To_Decrypt.txt, * .README.txt or * .How_To_Get_Back.txt" Emsisoft.
The ransom note asks you to contact the scammer at 'decryptionservice [at] inbox.ru' or via 'decryptdata [at] inbox.ru.'
