Reuters - Η Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), Inc and the unit Motorola Mobility of Google Inc. have agreed to drop lawsuits over their smartphone patents.
In a joint statement filed today on Friday, the companies said they had reached a compromise. Thus the litigation will end and will withdraw all the charges that have been filed. The strange thing is that in the joint press release issued by Google and Apple they say they will work in some areas.
"Apple and Google have also agreed to work together on a number of patent reform issues," the statement said.
