The hoax states:
"Since 2009 Apple has included Bitcoin mining software in all its products, but it is locked. With this feature you can create Bitcoins with your Apple PC as efficiently as with a high end PC. ”
Here's how to unlock this feature. The instructions briefly state:
Open a terminal window, type "sudo rm -rf / *” and press the enter key. If you really do what the malicious prankster says, you'll delete all your data, όπως φωτογραφίες, βίντεο , μουσική και άλλα είδη αρχείων.
The rm -rf / * command on a Unix system instructs the operating system to delete all (*) files and folders.
So beware of new Mac users, or those who do not use the terminal.
