Apple started the weekly WWDC with many announcements. Most of them are related to the company's software and applications.
One of the main announcements was that of the upcoming iOS 15. This is the next big version of the platform for Apple's iPhone and iPad mobile devices.
The upcoming operating system will have an additional feature to protect the privacy of its users. So let's see what the new one will bring Find My Phone which this time is called Find My Network.
Apple privacy concerns them users when AirTags item trackers started. The way Apple's trackers actually find AirTags has led many to question the company's Find My Network.
According to 9to5Mac, an iPhone running iOS 15 will always be discoverable with the Find My Network feature, even if the device is turned off. In case of low power or shutdown, the phone will work as Air Tag. This way, it will be able to be found, even if there are minimal battery percentages.
Even more interesting is that the device can be found even if someone manages to format. This will allow the detection of a stolen iPhone, a feature that Apple did not support before.
The Find My Network feature will be enabled by default and users will need to look in the settings to actually disable it from their iPhones.
