He probably won't like it. Apple has filed a patent for a technology that will prevent you from taking photos or videos with your iPhone or iPad at concerts, museums, or wherever else may be prohibited.
The patent was filed Tuesday at the United States Patents and Trademark Office and you can see the technical details from here.
The Apple patent describes an iPhone or iPad camera that can receive encrypted infrared signals from publicly available transmitters and temporarily disable the camera's camera operation to prevent photographs or record videos for as long as it is broadcast signal.
The technology patented by Apple is entitled 'System and methods for receiving infrared data with camera designed to detect images based on visible light' and was first filed in September 2014.
With this technology, the company θέλει να βοηθήσει τραγουδιστές, ηθοποιούς και καλλιτέχνες στην prevention of illegal photography and free streaming on the internet.
The same technology could, however, be used by the police to restrict video filming with smartphone acts of barbarism or protests, or it could even help any government stop photos and videos in some areas.
It is not difficult to imagine how a government like North Korea or China can use technology…
However, we should mention that you don't need to worry too much as companies like Apple and Google they patent all the time, but not all ideas are commercialized.
