As expected, Apple unveiled a new, small iPhone at its event today. The new device is called iPhone SE.
It is the same size as the iPhone 5S, but it has very discreet curves at its edges. But not the thin curves of the iPhone 6 lineup.
Inside, the iPhone SE has an A9 SoC processor and a M9 co-processor that makes it twice as fast as the iPhone 5S. It also contains an NFC chip for Apple Pay.
The back camera is 12 megapixels, while the camera on the front is 5 megapixels and uses the screen to flash. Apple has added the latest Wi-Fi and cellular technologies to the SE, making it a “mini iPhone 6S.”
The SE also has a Touch ID, but does not have 3D Touch screen technology. IPhonne SE will be released in gray, rose gold, silver or gold.
The device price starts from 399 dollars (with 16GB) and 499 dollars at 64GB.
The iPhone SE will be available for pre-order on March 24 and in stores USA on March 31. Apple has promised to make the SE available in several other countries by the end of the year.
