Since it was released (three years ago), GitHub's Atom Text Editor was a terrific open source programmer for developers along with other popular cross-platform applications like Sublime Text.
If you are not already using it, you may be more interested now that it supports collaboration with other applications and other real-time developers.
The new Atom text editor, Teletype, lets you collaborate with other developers in a project to write or edit the code with individual cursors and zero latency.
GitHub states that you will be able to use your own key bindings, packages and themeτα ενώ εργάζεστε με Teletype, και έτσι δεν θα αισθανθείτε ότι χρησιμοποιείτε το IDE κάποιου άλλου. Η εταιρεία αναφέρει επίσης ότι τα data they are delivered to you via encrypted peer-to-peer connections, so you don't have to worry about anyone watching what you write in your code.
The app is still in beta, so it does not include some related features that could facilitate collaboration, such as a chat window, so you can discuss changes and additions with your team in the same application.
Hopefully this feature will be added in the future.
With the introduction of Teletype and integration with Git and GitHub, the Atom text editor is shaping up to be a very good one choice for developers of various disciplines.
You can try it instantly downloading the installer from here, along with the Teletype package from this page.
