No, the image above is not from the latest Saw movie. It is a photo of him biohacker Tim Cannon, the so-called “DIY Cyborg” who implanted a computer chip Circadia 1,0 in the size of a smartphone under the skin of his arm.
The wirelessi sensors, developed during the last 18 months by Cannon and his hacker friends at Grindhouse wetware, monitor his vitals and transmit them data σε πραγματικό χρόνο μέσω Bluetooth on his Android device.
Cannon told Vice Motherboard, that Circadia 1.0 could "send me a text message if it thinks I'll have a fever soon." The device could then help you determine what causes your fever. The future sensor devices are expected to be much smaller than the one you see in the photo above.
The huge device, the bruised skin and the stitches are not so elegant. The implantation process is not medically approved, since Cannon did it with the help of some friends and without anesthesia (!).
