See your BIOS version without restarting

The next time you update your computer or try to deal with compatibility, you may need to know its current version BIOS you.

You can of course restart your computer and see which version is running, but it's much easier to use the utility Windows command line.

In the command prompt window, type and immediately after on enter:

wmic bios get smbiosbiosversion

The command will give you the BIOS version running on the computer without having to restart.
