The BitTorrent just left it free the bundles distribution service providing all musicians, filmmakers and other artists with the means to offer users who pay a small fee to download content from the popular network exchange files peer-to-peer.
TechCrunch reports that the new project will allow artists to create paygated bundles so that users can download some of the content free and pay if they want to unlock the balance. They can also choose to have a paywall which will be activated once a download limit is reached.
Thus, users and artists who are able to earn 90% of their total revenue are favored. 10% will of course go to BitTorrent as well as paygate service.
BitTorrent's move could shake the waters of the music and film industries, since the only costs for artists will be for software developers to use for distribution.
