The creators of the password manager Bitwarden released the new service today Bitwarden Send.
Bitwarden Send is a secure way to share text and files. The new feature is available to all users of the Bitwarden app, web vault, browser extensions, and interfacecommand line.
The new feature is available for all users, but some features are only for users with premium subscriptions.
Bitwarden Send supports sharing files up to 100 Megabytes each. It is not clear, but most likely, the files that can be shared correspond to a customer's storage limit. Premium users get 1 Gigabyte of encrypted storage, while free users have no storage.
The Bitwarden Send page shows you the functionality provided. Select Send after logging in to your account to get started.
A key difference between Free Send and premium users is that the former can only be used to share text but not files. Premium users can use the service to share files using the built-in end-to-end encryption.
The new Bitwarden Send service is built into all products of Bitwarden, which makes it easy to access and use. Recipients do not need an account which is very practical.
