Secusmart, a BlackBerry-based encryption software company. The company announced it SecuTABLET in collaboration with IBM and Samsung for CeBIT 2015 (16-20 March).
Secusmart has worked closely with BlackBerry and Samsung to improve Android adoption with additional tools for secure mobile device management. Samsung's latest smartphone, the Galaxy S6, comes pre-loaded with software developed in collaboration with BlackBerry and aimed at professional users.
So Secusmart, BlackBerry has announced SecuTABLET, a version of the Galaxy Tab 10.5 S that has various security enhancements. The tablet is addressed to businesses and governments that have specific security requirements.
At present, SecuTabLet is going through the certification stage from the German Federal Information Security Bureau for its official use in the country. The tablet also has a level of encryption for critical applications, using a solution developed by IBM.
The hardware, however, is no different from that used by the regular Galaxy Tab 10.5 S. The SecuTABLET, however, costs almost four times the price of the former, due to the added security and support of the Secusmart contract.
