Run the program (hEdit.exe or hEdit_x64.exe, depending on your architecture) even from a flash, then just type in the first box the name of the domain you want to add (say www.facebook.com) and select which computer on your network you want the ban for (if you only have one then it's 127.0.0.1). Press "plus" and the entry will be added to your list.
You can have it active (checked) or inactive (unticked) and clear it completely with the X. ¨All – it's all five commands so the process is really easy. Finally press the green small n to save your changes.
Just remember to block every possible URL of a website, for example along with www.facebook.com block https://facebook.com. If you write the https link from the beginning then the www will be added automatically.
By saving the changes the program configures Windows so that the specific websites are blocked.
