Many users sure, they make quite a lot of use of "windows" in browsers (browsers). But as surely you all will agree with me, it is really demanding work for computer o control so many "windows" especially when they run in the background and consume many times enough of your resources.
Both Chrome and Firefox, with the modern requirements in many cases, require the lion's share of RAM in relation to other applications.
I will not give an example of what happens if we have active 200 + windows in Chrome, but I will give an example of how much memory Chrome consume with 2-3 pages open. For example Facebook, Youtube (song in progress) and this.
With one clipboard calculation, one can see that for the minimum Chrome needs around 400mb of RAM. The same goes for Firefox.
How can we control this?
The Great Suspender.
The Great Suspender is an add-on to it browser which does an amazing job and saves the hands of multi-window freaks who forget about them, causing the computer to overclock unnecessarily.
What is he doing; Simple!
When a window stays open in the background for a certain amount of time (which time is selected by the user), it turns off as shown below.
When the user decides to reuse it, simply click on "reload".
This has the effect of freeing up system resources for foreground processes and not being consumed by background processes!
The add-on can be found here.
