Let's crack browsers: If you use iPhone, it's a good idea not to visit the page crashsafari.com. The page will stop your browser or even the device itself. But it is not only the iPhone that is affected Safari, the tests we performed with other browsers on Ubuntu, showed that the problem it also exists on other platforms.
The site seems to use JavaScript and crashes iPhone 6S, 5S running with iOS 9.2.1, or 9.2. In other words, if you use one of the latest iPhone you are probably affected.
If you find yourself on the website, it will show that it is loading, and then Safari will crash or force your iPhone to restart. Depending on your settings, you may lose some of your open tabs, but your device will not be damaged.
The page will crawl and desktop versions of Safari. We also tested with Chrome and Firefox on Ubuntu desktop and the results were the same, both browsers failed to load the page while Chrome cracked.
So make sure not to open the website if you see it going viral on social media. Also watch out for links that use shorteners.
We did not try to open the page with Windows, if you try it, please let us know the results.
