In this article we will show you how to change the default download location in popular browsers, such as: Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, and Opera.
Follow the instructions below for your browser.
Internet Explorer
To change the download location of the default file download folder to another location, open it Internet Explorer and press the shortcut keys Ctrl + J to open the [View Downloads] dialog box. Click on the "Options" in the lower left of the window.
There you will be able to set the desired download location.
Google Chrome
Launch the Chrome browser and click the "Sandwich" menu button (in the one with the three horizontal bars at the top right) to click "Settings" and open them. Scroll down to find the "Show advanced settings" link and click on it. Again, scroll down to find the "Downloads" section. There you will find the setting to change the shooting location.
Here you will need to click Change, go to the desired folder and select it.
Firefox
In Firefox, you have to click on the "sandwich" menu button (in the one with the three horizontal bars on the top right) and select the "Options" icon. Go to the "General" tab and modify the download location under the "File Downloads" section.
Navigate to the folder you want and select it.
Opera
Open the browser Opera and go to its settings. Go to the "Downloads" or "Downloads" section and click the "Change" button to set the new download location. That's it.
