Last night, the JPMorgan Chase & Co revealed that its systems had been compromised and hackers managed to extract 83 millions of company customer accounts. There are good and bad news.
The bad news is that the hackers were able to obtain account information from 76 million customers and 7 million small business accounts: names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses. That makes her infringement one of the largest in history.
The good news, however, is that Chase did not lose any passwords, account numbers, user IDs, birthdates, or Social Security numbers.
