Chrome 88 share pages with QR Code

Google has added the ability to share web pages via QR codes in Chrome 88.

The feature has been available for some time, but is now available to anyone using the desktop version .

You can get in the mode by clicking on the address bar or with a right click on the top of the webpage as shown in the images.

Images can also be shared via QR codes.

Create a QR Code in an image

and you are ready:

Most photo apps they now have automatic QR code scanning built in, which means opening your phone's camera app and pointing it at your screen will open the URL.

It's nice that Google has officially added it of QR Code in Chrome, but until everyone can use these images with a built-in technology, they might not be that useful.

I still believe that the simplest approach to sharing a web page is to add a simple "share" button like Android has.
