Hacked the CHS, leaked information from 4,5 millions of patients

Η Community Health Systems (CHS) of the US recently revealed that hackers had breached their network and intercepted personal information from about 4,5 patients.

The report states that attackers breached the CHS network between April and July 2014. Mandiant, the company that made the for hacking found that the team responsible for the Advanced Persistent Threat was from China.

The information that has been intercepted concerns names, telephone numbers, social security numbers and other details of recorded patients.

The service claims that no credit card numbers, medical or clinical information were stolen.

According to TrustedSec, the hackers were able to obtain into the agency's systems, exploiting its notorious vulnerability OpenSSL "Heart Bleed."
