Is Apple immune? A new vulnerability discovered by a Cisco researcher allows hackers to access where passwords are stored access iOS or Mac devices.
All you need is to download a malicious image file from the victim.
Tyler Bohan of her Cisco Talos found that if a TIFF file format is sent via MMS, e-mail or placed on a website visited by the victim, it can hide malware, which can run automatically, undetected.
In addition to intercepting all passwords found inside iOS devices, Mac OS X, tvOS and WATCH, the vulnerability could also allow hackers to gain remote control over Mac computers without sandboxing.
The specific issues they have already been fixed by Apple.
