Meet Crimson Storage, the world's largest single-phase battery, which now sits in the California desert. Electrek he says:
The Crimson Storage είναι επίσης το δεύτερο μεγαλύτερο project αποθήκευσης energys that works right now with any configuration. The 350 megawatt (MW)/1400 megawatt-hour (MWh) storage project, located on 2.000 acres west of Blythe in Riverside County, is slated to break ground in 2021.
Canadian Solar who oversaw the construction and provided the battery energy storage systems, and solar and storage infrastructure developer Recurrent Energy will be the long-term owners of Crimson Storage.
The homea are usually served by single-phase power supply and this project, on average, is expected to store and dispatch enough electricity to power more than 47.000 homes each year.
The Crimson Storage project already has two long-term contracts with local utilities: a 200MW/800MWh 14-year, 10-month contract with Southern California Edison and a 15-year 150MW/600MWh contract with Pacific Gas and Electric.
