Critical kernel update for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Canonical has updated its community about the availability of a major update to the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS kernel (Xenial Xerus).

Yesterday's kernel update is also the first to be released for it Ubuntu LTS 16.04 since its official launch on April 21, 2016 and seems particularly critical because it fixes a total of fifteen vulnerabilities that have been discovered by various Linux kernel developers and hackers.
