A case of pornography has been identified by the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office minors and illegal penetration into computer systems and networks on a continuous basis
The case was organized and a police operation took place in the area of Giannitsa
A case file was filed against 17home resident, who was a co-manager on a social networking profile, through which she received threats of a minor living in an overseas country to send personal obscene photographic material
The Electronic Crime Prosecution Division investigated a case of minor pornography and illegal penetration of computer systems and networks, for which a police operation was organized and carried out in the area of Giannitsa.
For the case, a regular procedure file was filed against a 17-year-old citizen, a resident of the Giannitsa area. As it turned out, the 17-year-old was a co-administrator – together with a person in a foreign country – of a social networking website profile, through which he had received threats from a minor who lives in the foreign country in question, to send her obscene photos content.
As regards the time of the case, the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate was informed by the authorities of the abovementioned foreign country about a case of pornography of minors, through a social networking site, during the investigation of which electronic traces emerged in the Greek territory. At the same time, in the same case, an individual had been involved in that country.
In particular, a minor residing in that country has received threats from a user profile of the social networking site to send personal obscene photographic material, which he has done.
In order to clarify the case, the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate proceeded to a thorough digital research και ανάλυση και εντόπισε τρεις ημεδαπούς παρόχους υπηρεσιών Internet, which had been used for the mode of the profile in question.
Following the removal of the confidentiality of the communications, following a prosecutor's order, the three owners-owners of these internet links were identified in the area of Giannitsa.
From the police operation, designed and conducted in the area by a specialized episode of the E Criminal Prosecution, it emerged that the co-manager of the profile on the social networking site was 17's son of one of the above.
In addition, the ongoing preliminary investigation and on-site specialized technical investigation revealed that the perpetrator had breached - and infiltrated the wireless networks - internet connections of the other two aforementioned individuals, using special software and using them to make it difficult for him to locate.
During the search, one (1) interior was found and seized tough disk, which will be sent to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations for laboratory tests.
The case file submitted for the case will be submitted to the competent Prosecutor's Office. In addition, the abovementioned person from abroad who is involved in the same case has been arrested by the competent foreign authorities.
