From the Hellenic Police's Electronic Crime Prosecution Department, a case of theft of objects of great value was identified and the involvement of a 28 homogeneous man from Georgia, at the expense of which a relevant criminal case filed, was identified.

Specifically, at the beginning of last June, unknown perpetrators entered a citizen's house in an area of ​​Athens, from where they removed jewelry with a total value of (29.000) euros, a laptop computer, a tablet computer (IPAD) and a camera.

From the specialized online survey carried out by police officers at the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate, in the context of a preliminary investigation into this case, it was found that the stolen laptop computer was connected to the Internet.

It followed a thorough digital analysis of the data and data from which the electronic traces of the perpetrator emerged, and their geographical origins and specific home in the Chania area in Crete were identified.

During the surprise legal search carried out in the above house, it was found that a 28-year-old expatriate from Georgia, who has previously engaged the police authorities for robberies and thefts, was living there.

The case file for this particular case will be submitted to the competent Prosecutor's Office.
