Another form of Cyberbullying: Revenge Porn

Every day is one for everyone with the constant stream of negative news reporting the horrors of human behavior. For one's mental health, one should maintain a balanced view of the world and have a strong core belief that most people are basically good.

Unfortunately, in the age of the Internet, when information comes in a series, it is very difficult to maintain our beliefs. Every now and then there are so many new ways of behaving badly. For example, have you heard of a new form of cyberbullying called "Revenge Porn" or in Greek "revenge porn?" Have you heard a story that might need intervention from the beginning?

What is revenge porn?

When I first heard about revenge porn, my first response was, “Really? For those who do not know, porn revenge is the online posting of annoying content, nude photos and videos of an ex-lover or ex-spouse - without his or her consent. The post often contains the victim's name, address, phone number, and various other information.

Unfortunately, cases of porn revenge are becoming more common and some brave victims report what happened to them, asking the authorities to take action.

Opponents of the New Laws

How unauthorized online posting of nude photos can be considered "freedom of speech" is an issue that needs to be reconsidered. There is probably a reasonable fear that the law will take the "downhill", and like any law of this kind can be used for the slightest and reach abusive levels.

So what can you do to avoid becoming a victim?

It's easy for someone to get a naked selfie and share it without fear of possible consequences. The easier it is to cast it on the victim, which has made the jammer raise such pictures, especially at this time.

We are all people, and this explains the mistakes of the victim, perhaps explaining the malicious behaviors. That is precisely why we should think too much before we publish something that can have unpleasant results if it falls into the wrong hands.
