The application and the CYBERKID website of the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate, received the Top Award in the category "Extroverted Information Systems & Internet Applications / Services" at the Business IT (BITE) Excellence Awards 2015 
The application and the "Cyberkid" website of the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate of the Hellenic Police were awarded the Top Award at the Business IT (BITE) Excellence Awards 2015, in the category "Extroverted Information Systems & Internet Applications / Services".
The award was received by officers of the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office, in the framework of the award ceremony held yesterday (23 / 7 / 2015), in the afternoon, in Glyfada.
It is noted that this particular award ceremony is one of the largest, regarding best practices in the utilization of Information Technology and Communications by companies and organizations of the Private and Public Sector in Greece, while the aim is to highlight the technological vanguard, innovation and business value of technology.
The Ministry of Citizen Protection and the Hellenic Police Headquarters, through the Cybercrime Division, participated in the organization with the implementation of the CYBERKID website, which was distinguished between applications of large banks in Greece, leading insurance companies, telecommunication organizations and networks, and recognized private companies that excel in commerce, tourism, communications security, and online entertainment and education.
It is recalled that the Cyberkid application for cell phones phones and tablets is an interactive, innovative application that has stood out in the field of "smart applications" for mobile telephony, as it contributes to the information and awareness of children aged 6 to 18, as well as parents and teachers in themethe security at Internet.
The application enables children to communicate instantly and real-time in case of danger or threat with Officers of the Electronic Crime Division, through the use of a Cyber Alert (Touchscreen Call) process, but also through sending an e-mail message.
The Cyberkid application also refers to the site www.cyberkid.gr , which provides detailed information for both parents and children, by age group, so that the tips and texts contained in each section are more targeted and understandable.
This site is updated every day by the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office for full and immediate public information, and there is also an interface to the e-crime prosecution at Twitter, the @ cyberalertGR.
At the same time, in the "Digital Alana" section there are sixteen digitalized traditional games (griniaris, chess, ladies etc.), which are accessible to all visitors according to their age. "Digital Alana" was created after the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate detected the need to create a completely safe gaming environment for children, in which they can play games without the risk of being approached by pedophiles and other malicious users.
