It seems that the biggest drug market on the Dark Web has come down. Many users on Reddit and Twitter report that AlphaBay Market – often called new Silk Road - it stopped working.
Doubts about shutting down the largest drug market on the Dark Web began to circulate when the portal suddenly went offline earlier today. This was not unusual for AlphaBay, but some users spotted one huge deal with Bitcoin worth over 3,7 of millions of dollars that many believe could come from AlphaBay.
What complicates the issue with these transactions is that they become anonymous, making it difficult to trace the origin and destination of the amounts traded.
So while some users directly associate the portal downtime with the transaction as evidence of the intention of the AlphaBay marketplace to withdraw along with all of its users' money, others are convinced that the two events are not connected.
There are no more details at the moment than the reports of the immediate stakeholders, but you should be aware that such robberies are commonplace in the Dark Web.
Two years ago, a competitor of Silk Road, the drug market Evolution, suddenly disappeared, along with Bitcoin worth millions of dollars, all of which belonged to its users, of course.
Developments are expected….
