The Debian project announced the first update of its fixed distribution Debian 10 buster. This point release mainly brings security fixes, along with some adjustments to serious issues. Security updates have already been published separately.
Note that point releases are not new versions of Debian but update some of the packages included in the distribution. So there is no reason to delete old ISO. After installation, packages can be upgraded to current versions using an updated Debian mirror.
Debian 10.1 updates include updates to Cryptsetup, many security updates to CUPS, fix to e2fsprogs crash seen in sytems 32-bit, στο fuse-emulator, στο GNOME Shell που κρασάρει όταν χρησιμοποιείται το GNOME-Bluetooth, φέρνει ένα ενημέρωμένο Linux 4.19 kernel, υποστήριξη για το Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3 with new firmware, but also many fixes in systemd.
Those who frequently install updates from security.debian.org will not need to update many packages as today's point release is a centralized update.
Upgrading an existing installation can be done very easily by controlling the package management system from one of Debian's many HTTP mirrors. A complete list of Mirror sites is available at:
