Popcorn Time seems to have lost many of its key developers after rumors of an upcoming Hollywood trial and internal controls for the money the group has won.
According to reports coming from Popcorn Time offices through TorrentFreak, the development team has been divided into two camps during a recent weekend council. One group supports developers Wally and phnz, and the other one is KsaRedFx.
KsaRedFx's team eventually lost and had to give up channel Popcorn Time's Slack and account GitHub. Many other developers of Popcorn Time (less important), were forced to leave in the same way.
The controversy began after unconfirmed rumors about an upcoming trial being prepared by Hollywood.
KsaRedFx wanted it removed service VPN, mainly because it was a commercialized one tool that had no place in Popcorn Time.
On the other hand, the Wally and Phnz group listened to these talks, they felt betrayed, so the conflict escalated, and led to the exclusion of KsaRedFx and other developers from the central development team.
Let's mention the service VPN.ht was founded by Wally and phnz. The latter indeed he also announced his resignation from Popcorn Time Project.
