The Devuan GNU+Linux team has announced the availability of a new point release of distribution.
The new point release Devuan GNU+Linux 3.1.0, now supports three init options during installation: OpenRC, SysV init and runit.
The program installer also allows users to install an alternative bootloader (lilo) instead of GRUB. The announcement of the new edition states:
“The 3.1.0 Devuan Beowulf ISO, live-desktop and minimal-ISO installers are now available. Note that ARM images and virtual images were not updated in this version.
What's new in this version:
The installer now offers a choice of three init systems. Added runit, along with sysvinit and OpenRC. If you want you can choose an alternative bootloader (lilo) or exclude a non-free firmware, from the installation options Consultant. "
