The Firefox , όπως και όλα τα προletterbrowsers have a private browsing mode with which you can surf the web without leaving any trace on your computer.
This feature is for both computers and mobile. In fact, private browsing does not hide your browsing activity from your ISP, but it ensures that your device does not have a trace behind it.
For browsers that do not support multiple profiles, private browsing is quite useful. But if you do not like this, or because you are a parent and you want to know which websites your children are entering or because you are an employer and want to secure your company from inappropriate visits or for any other reason you can disable it in some browsers.
As far as Firefox and Windows is concerned, we will look at the current article, let's see what you need to do to disable the private browsing feature.
Work is done through the Windows Registry Editor and to continue from here on you will have administrator rights.
Step 1: Open the Windows Registry. If you do not know how to do this, press Win + R at the same time, and in the pop-up window that appears, write Regedit and press OK.
Step 2: In the Registry Editor window that will appear, go to the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox
It's possible that you don't have the Mozilla key under the Policies key. If this is the case, turn right click on the Policies key and select Create > Key. Call it Mozilla. Next, right-click on the Mozilla key you just created, then select from the context menu this time, Create > Key. Name this key Firefox.
Step 3: Now that you have the registry structured the way you need it, right-click the Firefox button and select Create> DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name the value DisablePrivateBrowsing and set its value to 1. Even if you are running Windows 65 bit you will choose 32-bit DWORD. If the DWORD value already exists, then just edit it and give it a value of 1.
That's it. Now in the Firefox menu the option "File> New Private Browser" no longer exists. If you regret it and want to restore Firefox as it was, simply delete what you did, or set the DWORD value to DisablePrivateBrowsing zero.
