Cardiologist sues Apple for heart rate detection

A doctor from New York is suing Apple, claiming that the Watch device uses it to detect irregular heart function.

This is Dr. Joseph Wiesel, who sued Apple alleging that the watch uses a atrial fibrillation detection method, which is vested in him with patent.

The doctor hopes to prevent Apple from using the atrial fibrillation detection method without paying the royalties. For its part, Apple has not yet commented on this lawsuit.
