If useste Dropbox, you should change your password according to an e-mail the company sent to some of its users.
The email reports little information about the reasons that led the company to alert its users, and it seems to be a reaction to a security incident that took place in the middle of 2012.
We are in contact with you to inform you that if you have not updated your Dropbox password from within 2012, you will be prompted to update it the next time you sign in. This is purely a precautionary measure, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
To learn more about why we take these precautions, please visit σελίδα in the Help Center. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at password-reset-help@dropbox.com.
The email sent by Dropbox contains a link to a FAQ Help page that answers some of the questions.
It looks like Dropbox has found something leakage που συμπεριλαμβάνει μια λίστα με ονόματα λογαριασμών του Dropbox (συνήθως μια διεύθυνση ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου), και salted κωδικούς πρόσβασης.
So not all Dropbox users will receive an email about change password, but only the email addresses that the company deems to have been leaked.
Of course it would be good if you use the service to change your password, come do not come email from the company.
