DuckDuckGo a search engine that is constantly rising

Πέραν του ότι είναι χρήσιμες για την εύρεση πληροφοριών στο διαδίκτυο, οι μηχανές αναζήτησης όπως η and Bing store a lot of information from their users. There are always those who want to avoid this by looking for alternatives.

Some time ago, we published about the service DuckDuckGo, which bills itself as a non-collecting alternative search engine by its users.

From the article Protect from Google: DuckDuckGo

Η DuckDuckGo is a search engine like Google. It is from 2008 and separates its position from the Google search giant in many different ways. After Snowden's revelations about America's and Britain's spy-based actions, alternatives like DuckDuckGo, are considered necessary. OR DuckDuckGo is a service Open Source. The allows control by all developers who wish to engage in its development. This means Safety. Search Anonymously and get your results Instantly.

Immediately after Washington Post's and Guardian's publications on NSA's spy actions at the beginning of June, the number of searches at DuckDuckGo has increased significantly. In May of 2013, shortly before Snowden's revelations, 1,8 had, on average, millions of search queries. The number increased to 4,4 million in January of 2014.

Whether or not alternative search engines such as DuckDuckGo or Ixquick really protect you from NSA actions we do not know. But to date there has been no mention of DuckDuckGo, from Snowden's leaks that have seen the light of publicity.
